Pisa Sporting Club is preparing to face Avellino tomorrow (at the “Partenio-Lombardi” Stadium, 3:00 p.m.) in a match for Matchday 10 of the Serie BKT Championship. Let’s take a look at the statistics and interesting facts about the upcoming match, courtesy of Opta Facts by Stats Perform:
- Avellino has won its last three matches against Pisa in Serie BKT without conceding a goal, and is unbeaten in six matches against the Tuscan side in the league (4W, 2D), after having lost three of its first four head-to-head matches against the Nerazzurri (1D).
- After losing its first-ever home game against Pisa in Serie BKT (0-3 in September 1989), Avellino has remained undefeated in its last four home games thanks to a draw in 1991 followed by three wins: Only against Modena (five) and Pro Vercelli (four) do the Campania-based team boast a longer active streak of home wins in the league.
- Avellino has never recorded the same result twice in a row in its last six home games (3W, 1D, 2L). In their most recent home game, Avellino lost 0-1 to Padova, and the last time they suffered two consecutive home losses in Serie B was last February against Frosinone and Pescara.
- Pisa has remained undefeated in all four away games played this Serie BKT season (2W, 2D), and only twice in its history has the team avoided defeat in each of its first five away games of the season in the second division: in 1984–85 (2 wins, 3 draws) and in 2007–08 (5 wins).
- Avellino (nine) and Pisa (eight) are the two teams that have scored the most goals in the first halves of matches this Serie BKT season.
- Emanuele Adamo scored in his Serie BKT debut in the last league match against Virtus Entella; Looking back over the last 20 years of the second-division tournament, the only Avellino player to have scored in his first two games for the Campania-based club in the competition was Ferdinando Sforzini (in January 2009).
- Tommaso Marras has scored in each of his last three league appearances; the last Pisa player to score in four consecutive Serie BKT matches was Michele Marconi in September 2019.
