The Pisa Sporting Club is pleased to announce the successful outcome of negotiations with Aston Villa FC (England) for the temporary acquisition of the right to the sports performance of the player Samuel Iling-Junior, who from today joins the Nerazzurra family.
An English nationality left back, born in 2003, Samuel Iling-Junior grew up in Chelsea’s youth sector before landing in 2020 in Italy, at Juventus; the Bianconeri used him immediately in the Next Gen but already shortly afterwards he entered the orbit of the First Team. The 2022-2023 season is the one of his debut in Serie A (12 appearances, 1 goal, 1 assist) and his first appearances in the Europa League (4 appearances) and Champions League (1 appearance); the following year he collects with Juventus 27 appearances (1 goal, 2 assists), winning together with his teammates the Coppa Italia. Signed by Aston Villa he went on loan first to Bologna (7 league appearances and 8 Champions League appearances), then to Middlesbrough (16 appearances, 1 goal, in the Championship). In the current season he wore the shirt of West Bromwich putting on 24 appearances (1 goal), also in the Championship. Also important was his experience with the England Under-21 national team with which he won, as a star player, the title of European Champion in 2023
His return to Serie A will be wearing the Nerazzurri colors of Pisa; we wish Samuel the best of luck in this experience in the shadow of the Leaning Tower.
