Pisa SC supports “Walking for Simona”

22 October 2026

Pisa Sporting Club is supporting “Walking for Simona,” a non-competitive walk open to everyone, dedicated to the AIL (Italian Association Against Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Myeloma) and launched in 2015 to honor Simona, who passed away prematurely from leukemia.

“Walking for Simona,” an event that has drawn more than 1,500 participants in recent years, is the result of the work of volunteers and the support of sponsors and partners who help cover organizational costs and make fundraising possible. The goal is to support AIL Pisa and raise awareness of the services the association offers to hematology patients and their families. AIL Pisa’s activities include supporting research and the professionals working in the field of hematology in Pisa, providing essential medical equipment for treatment, home care, accommodation in AIL housing for those traveling from afar, and psychological and nutritional support. These services accompany people throughout their treatment and help families cope with the practical challenges of the illness.

That’s why it’s important to participate in the 2026 edition of “Walking for Simona.”

The event is scheduled for Sunday, November 1. Participants will meet at Parco della Pace starting at 7:00 a.m., with staggered starts from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. There are five distances to choose from: 2, 4, 8, 10.5, and 17 kilometers. This selection is designed to engage walkers, runners, families, and groups of friends, allowing everyone to participate at their own pace and according to their fitness level. The first 1,300 participants will receive a free technical event T-shirt.

Please note that you can register on the day of the event, but you can also do so on Endu, where advance registration allows you to skip the line and helps the organizers better prepare for your day.
