A few weeks ago, the San Piero a Grado Sports Center had opened its doors to a small group of children being cared for, at the IRCCS Fondazione Stella Maris, by the developmental neurology and developmental psychiatry and psychopharmacology operating units. <\/p>\n\n
It was a special visit that had touched the heart and spirit of the Nerazzurri group, which thus wanted to do the same; Samuele Angori<\/strong>, Giovanni Bonfanti<\/strong> and Gabriele Piccinini<\/strong>, representing the entire Pisa Sporting Club brought, yesterday morning, a load of Christmas gifts, smiles and Wishes to the Stella Maris Foundation in Calambrone. <\/p>\n\n The delegation visited some of the wards and waiting areas of Stella Maris, meeting with patients, their families and medical staff. The morning passed quickly between selfies, autographs, smiles and the handing over of some gadgets by the team to the children and young people present. <\/p>\n\n The visit ended in the Laboratory of Molecular Medicine and Neurobiology, where the students got a close look at some of the research lines of the IRCCS of Calambrone.<\/p>\n\n Present was IRCCS Stella Maris Foundation President Giuliano Maffei<\/strong>, who recalled, “It is an honor for us to have received a representation from the team. It’s a new testimony to the closeness and emotional bond that have united us for a long time: it’s a story that continues and it’s nice this being together, each with their own talents. We were very impressed by the attention of the soccer players to the things we do and their interest in listening to our researchers.
